Our efforts to vote haven’t gone to waste as Leah Kalanguka emerged as one of the big winners in this years ‘world next top model’ competitions that were finally won by Virginia from Malta.
Despite leading in double figures for a long time on online polls, Leah stood a big chance to become the first Ugandan to be crowned as the world’s next top model but things changed drastically as she was beaten to the top price.
However, she didn’t leave empty handed as was voted ‘Miss People’s choice’ which is equivalent to one of the big prices.

“Hey all. Thanks for all the support we got miss people s choice. And managed to get to top 16. Something about each contestant having only one title. But super grateful to you all. Next time we get a bigger crown. Bless you”. Leah commented after the win.
The 2014 crowned Miss Uganda whose reign was full of criticism from the crowd eventually proved everyone wrong when she emerged among the top 12 finalists in the Miss World beauty pageant, something that few miss Uganda contestants can achieve.
