Levixone carried out a charity drive last Saturday called ‘Kids Back To School Challenge’ with his organization called 92hands.org. Levixone grew up in Kosovo, a slum in Lungujja and he stated that he grew up in very unfriendly conditions where he faced a lot of challenges which he personally didn’t like but had nothing to do, that’s when he met a friend called Trinity at the age of 7 and came up with an idea of giving back from the little he has achieved to the community of Kosovo.
That is how he started the organization called 92hands which he has been using to drive his charity activities.
The charity drive started in the morning and was aimed at giving out free scholastic materials to children who haven’t yet gone back to school due to lack of requirements like books, pens, pencils, mathematical sets and toilet paper. A number of names had been recorded earlier and the team just went around looking for the specific beneficiaries who were lacking these materials and therefore hadn’t reported to school. Being a weekend, most of the children were home and were very excited after receiving their requirements.
Apart from providing scholastic materials to the needy in Kosovo, the team went on to dedicate them into God’s hands, for wisdom and protection upon their lives. It was a life changing moment.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace(1 Peter 4:10).This is the scripture that has always led us me and my brother Trinity Heavenz to step out from a ME mentality to SERVE others with the gifts God has blessed us with.”Levixone said
Education is a right that every person living in Uganda should enjoy. Unfortunately thousands of parents in and around Kosovo can barely afford a pencil. All these could change a kid’s life in Kosovo. 92hands through KIDS BACK TO SCHOOL CHALLENGE collects basic school materials from friends and well wishers which are handed to the poor children in and around Kosovo. The charity drive ended at around 3:00pm with a prayer thanking God for the successes of the day and prayers for Kosovo.
Levixone urged fellow artistes and celebrities to emulate this and give back to the communities and people that are in need.
