Last night, the Bugolobi-based Royal Suites was on fire as gospel singer Levixone Lala held his highly anticipated ‘Share Love Charity concert’. The evening was quite a cool one with lots of performances from top notch gospel singers who made sure revellers got the best of the entertainement at the first ever 50,000 and 100,000 Ugandan shillings entry gospel concert.
A special round of applause to Sms One, www.chano8.com, Fenon events, Face TV, Spirit FM, and Abryanz collection. Who sponsored this event to come to pass amid lots of ululations from the revellers who came from different sides to support the ‘Ani’ singer.
The event’s host MC Innocent kicked off the event with a prayer from pastor John Mole who blessed the proceedings in God’s name and shortly after Hallel dance crew who were the first performers took the stage, followed by Soul Seeds, Lex Told, Abigael, Kevo Lex, Real Mic and General Versetile and all performers had a chance to perform only one song.
Pastor Deo Mwanje Levixone’s mentor took to the stage next and had some remarks to give and briefly shared a little on how he met Levixone as a no body and a street kid to now a celebrated born again gospel singer and above all thanked revellers for coming through and later more performances came from singer and guitarist Charmant Mushaga and Solome Basuuta.
Holly Keane Amooti performed next, followed by Exodus, Mafuta Choir, TIT Ivan, Coopy Bly, Robin San, Julie Mutesasira and Aime from Burundi who was the last curtain raiser.
At exactly 8:40 PM, dressed in a pair of black boots, gray ripped jeans, a maroon T Shirt and black blazer, Levixone took to the stage amid a lot of screaming from the fans. ‘Nonya Omu’, ‘Esaala’ were the songs he performed first before he invited one of her fans who performed his ‘Ani’ tune and later Levixone invited his mother on stage and later Dancehall singer Nutty Neithan.
As his performance was ending, Levixone invited Jackie Akello with whom they performed their ‘Samanya’ collabo, he resumed with ‘Edoboozi’, ‘Hope’ and the fundraising for the share love with Kosovo cause where a portrait of Kosovo slum was put on auction and some of the attendees pledged money to help on the cause too.
Finally, Levixone concluded the concert performing ‘God Is Good’, ‘Niwewe’ among others till late.
