Rising multi-talented RnB/Reggae and soul gospel star Levixone is in high spirits following the success of his Samanya song featuring Akello. The song has received massive airplay across several local stations and is also doing well on YouTube.
Chano8 recently interacted with Levixone and this what he said,
‘This is a song I love so much because it has a story behind it. I come from a ghetto called Kosovo, so one day I met the gang leader and asked him why don’t you come to church and he said Levixone, we have done a lot and don’t think God can forgive us. He then went on to say something that inspired me which was I wish we changed the time you changed, samanya.’
Levixone real names Sam Lukas Lugolobya, is the first born of ten and grew up with his mother and stepfather in Kosovo, Lungujja a slummy area in the suburbs of Kampala. He attended St Joseph Mapeera Primary School in Kisubi but dropped out when his step father refused to pay his school fees.
He later ran away from home and met “Ticki Tah”, Crystal Fabulous and his brother the late Mac Elvis who played a major role in his career as a musician and paid his school fees at ECO University in Nairobi where he studied music.
Kicking off ‘Samanya’ with a raspy voice, Levixone showcases versatility, tenacity and prowess in the song. Samanya is one gospel song you simply can’t get over, you may find yourself hitting the replay button on several occasions.
Caroline Akello who features on the song, offers her stunning vocals in Luo. Even though most people won’t understand what she’s singing about, the truth of the matter is, she will keep you hooked on the song with her mellow rhymes.
