It is understandable that at times it is just not all about talent, but an artiste needs a productive manager for them to shine and reach out near and far. Talking about that, Team No Sleep’s Queen Sheebah Karungi took all her appreciation to social media where she posted a heartfelt ‘thank you’ message to her manager Jeff Kiwa.
“Thank you so much for not just being my manager but also my advisor. Thank you for having my best interests not only as a musician but also as an individual. I respect and love what you do for Me, TNS and Uganda’s music business at large, you set the pace. I can’t wait for the next album. You are the best manager alive, Happy New Year. I wish us more creative and successful years ahead. 2017 Here We Come.” Said Sheebah.
However, this doesn’t come like a surprise for Sheebah to say thank you to Jeff but a way of showing respect to him for the success they have enjoyed in music since he began managing her and the entire Team No Sleep camp that has artistes like Roden Y, Diamond Oscar and Chozen Blood
It’s on record that, in the years 2015 and 2016, the Dancehall artiste has done visible things like having hit songs such as ‘Nkwatako’, ‘Ndiwanjawulo’ , ‘Farmer remix’ (collabo with Ykee Benda) plus having successful shows, that is the ‘Nkwatako’ video premiere in April and the Nkwatako Album Launch that broke Hotel Africa’s attendance records this December.
Jeff Kiwa is one of the artistes’ managers who has through the years been a stepping stone for some successful artistes on the Ugandan music scene like Uganda’s self pro-claimed music doctor Jose Chameleone, East Africa’s Dynamic Duo Radio and Weasel, Pallaso and the late AK 47 (RIP)
