Manchester United finally registered their first win of the 2014-2015 season with a 4-0 demolition of Queens Park Rangers at Old Trafford. United who lost to Swansea City on opening day and then drew against 1-1 against Sunderland and 0-0 with Burnley. They also lost 4-0 MK Dons in the League Cup to give new Manager Louis Van Gaal a poor start to the season
However things could have changed all together after United strengthened at the close of the transfer season by signing Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco to add onto Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and record signing Angel Di Maria.
And indeed the new look United side tore QPR into shreds with record signing Angel Di Maria particularly impressive. He helped settle any early United nerves when his free-kick into the box crept into the far corner with 24 minutes played.
