Just days after being awarded with an honorary Doctorate in Tourism from Yesbud University which is based in Zambia recently, Honourable Godfrey Kiwanda, the State Minister for Tourism is at it again.
The minister has continued to prove that he is the right man to promote Uganda’s tourism industry and he believes involving the world’s most populous country India is the best idea.
On Wednesday, Kiwanda welcomed a high level delegation from India’s film industry.
The Indian film actors came in to promote Uganda as a location for filming Bollywood movies and also to promote Uganda as a tourist destination for Indians across the globe.
The group of Bollywood actors were received by Grace Akello, the Uganda High Commissioner New Delhi and Hon. Kiwanda.
The minister had previously been heavily criticized by the public for endorsing the upcoming Miss Curvy beauty pageant
The Indian actors come just days after the president of Uganda HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was seen having a chat with a group of tourists at Chobe Safari lodge located in Murchison Falls National Park where he was attending a retreat of the Central Executive Committee of the ruling NRM government.
