“We are happy to be here finally. It was a mission and it is always a mission to bring artistes from Jamaica, from the western hemisphere but the help of God and the faith of these promoters in Africa that take the chance to bring us all the way from Jamaica, give them a round of applause please. Secondly the fans of Uganda, our fans are the best in the world.”
He however gave thanks to the Internet which has enabled their fans worldwide to know who they are.
“To keep on listening to music, we give thanks to the internet because if it wasn’t for the Internet and a lot of the sound men and selectors and the Djs, a lot of the fans wouldn’t know who Morgan Heritage is and to see that we have arrived here from very far away, it is a joy and we are happy. The sponsors that believed and those who did not believe, we hope to return before we even play the show tomorrow. We hope that we shall return bigger and better because this is Africa.” Gramps added.
The Reggae family excited the journalists when they disclosed that for long, they have been hearing that The Pearl of Africa is a big lover of Reggae music.
“We have been hearing about Uganda that they are bigger lovers of Reggae music and so tomorrow night we shall see how much Uganda loves Reggae music. We are here and some people did not believe we were coming.” Gramps further narrated
While asked why their sister Una Morgan made no show, Gramps went ahead to explain saying.”Our sister had a heart attack a year and half ago so she can’t travel far for a certain amount of hours.”
Although the journalists asked these Reggae singers to unveil what they will be showcasing at the show, all they urged fans is to go buy tickets and come for the show.
