It sure looks like Moses Magogo is fast becoming the most successful FUFA president after being named on the CAF executive committee. Magogo has become the first Ugandan to be part of Africa’s football committee after he was appointed on the CAF executive committee following the developments from the ongoing CAF Congress in Manama, Bahrain.
“In recognition of the progress of football development in Uganda and contribution towards African football; At the CAF Congress in Manama Bahrain, I have been appointed a member of the CAF Executive Committee 2017 – 2021 and a member of the CAF Reforms Committee,” Magogo posted on his social media.
Magogo had in March 2017, lost a bid to Djibouti’s FA boss Suleiman Hassan Waberi for the central East zone spot to the Executive Committee but this appointment is equivalent to that.
Through his tenure as FUFA president, the Uganda cranes have been able to qualify for the just concluded African cup of nations after 39 years and has been able to fly in the new FIFA president.
