The upcoming Club Music Video Awards will provide a platform for Ugandan music to be recognised at a mega ceremony where nominees are set to tussle it out in 15 categories although organisers haven’t officially released the nominees list yet. According to our reliable source, the list will be out soon for the public to start their own voting process.
The awards are slated for Saturday the 18th of March and one special ingredient about these particular awards is that they will be having a panel of well versed Judges in this industry and one of them is Tim Ekandjo a Namibian working in the country’s biggest telecommunications companies – Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) as the Human Capital and Corporate Affairs Officer.
Through the years, Tim has been part of the entertainment industry and its undoubtedly a cool idea for Club to pick on such a person as a judge and we were tipped that he started the Namibian Annual Music Awards project in 2011 that has ever since grown into the biggest and most successful music award ceremony in Africa, with live broadcast on Trace TV.
We are looking forward to see how he does it at the awarding night in March as we wait for Club to officially announce the names of nominees to tussle it out.
