The ‘Qwela Junction’ season three ‘Divas Edition’ which is featuring 7 female artistes who include Naava Grey and Sandra Suubi, is a few days away and hey!, This is another big gig in town come Sunday the 29th of November 2015.
To the music lovers and party animals especially those who enjoy watching the beautiful Ugandan female artistes do their thing on stage, Kampala Serena Hotel is the place to be at only 100,000 shillings as entry fee.
While addressing journalists at a press conference on Tuesday, Naava who is not new in the music industry, promised music at its best and also urged people not to miss out. ‘Ninga Omuloge and ‘Nteredde’ are some of her hit songs that earned her mileage and she is currently working on a new album which will come out any time soon.
Gospel singer Sandra Suubi who sang tunes like ‘Togwaamu Suubi’ and also the first winner of the Airtel Trace Music Star singing competition expressed how she can’t wait for show time. “It’s been a nice experience during the rehearsals” she added.
Qwela junction which is happening for the third time, has a team of organisers which basically connects to different kinds of people whose works or careers are based on music, that is to say, artistes, guitarists, saxophonists, dancers, name it. Following an agreement, the above go through a series of serious training and rehearsals until they have all mastered what they will present to their fans who are all gathered in the proposed venue for show time.
This year for example, they have so far gotten done with the first and second episodes which were dubbed ‘Guitar Maestros’ and ‘Sax Aces’ respectively. The ‘Divas Edition’ which is 17 days away is also expected to be a sell out just like the previous mentioned were.
