He is here to stay and believe me that in the Ugandan Hip Hop music industry, Navio is a rapper who can move with his head up. After the release of the audio of their collabo song ‘Gbesile’ recently, Navio and Nigerian-born Burna Boy took a step ahead to release the video too.
“When you mix one of the fastest growing artists on the continent with the biggest East African Rap brand, you get “Gbesile”. With Navio and Burna Boy joining forces on one song, it’s easy to see how this is being predicted to be one of the biggest December songs of 2015. Due to public demand, the video is here”. Navio told Chano8 when we reached him for a comment.
The song’s video was shot and directed by MattMax who is one of the top video directors in Nigeria, where as the audio was produced by Aethan and engineered by Samurae. In the video, Burna Boy who is signed to ‘Space Ship’ music label starts the first verse singing in ‘Yoruba’ language.
Navio comes in the second verse throwing serious hip hop lyrics and the video vixens are seen doing the get down strokes to illustrate ‘Gbesile’ which means ‘Get Down’.
In just a day’s time after being uploaded on line, the video is doing pretty good with a healthy number of views which are continuing to increase, which was at 403 views in just a few hours by press time. Now that the video is out, we hope Navio will earn more mileage in Nigeria and the entire West Africa.
