There has been some rumor circulating on social media that record label Swanbgz Avenue are soon signing Weasel in a long contract that will see him switching base from Makindye to Muyenga.
However, that rumor is not true. Well, at least according to Benon Mugumbya, one of the co-founders of the Muyenga-based record label
Benon came out and disregarded the rumor saying that they do not have plans of signing the remaining Goodlyfe musician.
“We have worked with Weasel before and he is an extremely talented artiste. But concerning the rumors moving round, I would like to disregard them. It’s not true that we are signing him,” said Benon.
Following the death of Mowzey Radio who was Weasel’s singing partner, many people wrote Weasel off saying his career might as well have come to an end because Mowzey literally did ‘everything’ in Goodlyfe.
However, Benon who is a producer and singer himself came out to defend the Mayanja brother saying that his career has not come to an end because he knows the industry having been part of it for the last ten or so years where he also has solo projects.
Weasel is in studio recording a few songs, some of which include Radio’s tribute. It looks like he has gathered the energy to work alone. We will keep our ears on the ground and keep you informed in case of any new developments
