Whatever is happening in Uganda’s media houses is alarming. TV presenters are being axed for reasons best known to their bosses while switching work places has also become the order of the day.
NTV Uganda yesterday relieved the duties of two of their employees for misconduct and those who have been shown the door are Anne Nakawombe and Kevin Kaija.
Ann has been the presenting ‘Login’and has been doing the entertainment programme more than a year now after succeeding Robin Kisti who flew out of the country to the United States while Kevin has been a presenter of ‘Seeds of Gold’ which is a farming programme.
The statement we came across declared that, the two seize to be employees of the station with immediate effect. “NTV Management announces that Anne Nakawombe and Kevin Kaija have ceased being employees of the station owing to gross misconduct. Anne has been the presenter of Login while Kevin worked on the Seeds of Gold program as producer.”
“These employees were found to be in breach of the NTV Employee Code of Conduct as stipulated in their terms of employment. At NTV, we hold ourselves to the highest standards with our values and integrity in the work place to ensure that we are a trusted and credible source of information and entertainment. We do not condone unethical or questionable moral character.” The statement read.
