He has been on our Television screens for quite some time and veteran Tv presenter Miles Rwamiti has confirmed to www.chano8.com that he is aspiring for Kampala Mayorship to replace Elias Lukwago come 2016 general elections in Uganda.
Although the electioneering process is in full gear, Rwamiti who is currently in US syas he will pick nomination forms as soon as he sets foot home and will run as an independent “To change the face of the city” which badly needs “Young people to change the system”
Rwamiti who was speaking to Chano8 Magazine in a telephone conversation, says the time for change is now and that he will give full details of his programs when he arrives in the country soon.
The ‘Koona Ne NTV’ presenter who also doubles as a www.chano8.com columnist joins another entertainer; Veteran singer Ragga Dee who also recently showed interest and already picked nomination forms to run for flag bearer under the ruling government party National Resistance Movement (NRM).
The flamboyant and at times controversial presenter quit Bukedde TV under mysterious circumstances to join Nation Media’s NTV Uganda and has since been presenting the Koona Ne NTV program that runs every Friday from 10:00PM.
Reports of him contesting for the Mayoral post first surfaced over the weekend when he conducted an interview with Charlie Muwavala of Radio Uganda Boston USA and criticized local artistes for poor wardrobes and also expressed his dissatisfaction for the negative publicity he receives from on-line bloggers. We wish him the best in his endeavors.
