Serena has always been known to host musical shows both local and international but Patrick Salvado Idringi, call him Dr. Turner chose the same venue for his one man one show dubbed “The man from Umbokolo” come the 2nd of June.
He says he’s ready to have his concert as a solo comedian. “Through my traveling, I’ve noticed that comedians hold one man concerts and indeed they attract a big crowd and they are able to pull it off. That is the only way I will test myself if I’m among the best.” He said.
The comedian gave his reasons why he’s holding this show and promises to take the proceeds to his home area. “When I was in my O level at St. Charles Lwanga college Koboko, we had a health center that was taken care of by the Parish next to the school, every time I fell sick (and that was a lot) that’s where I’d get treatment, despite the problems of lack of medicine and equipment there…They somehow managed to treat people. I’m very grateful to this dispensary for the times they treated me and again and these were a lot… As such I’ll be traveling to Koboko in 2 weeks to see how I can help better the services rendered by all the medical staff at the health center. All commit a percentage of the proceeds I get from my one show for this..i do this For God and my country”.
