Although at first critics were under estimating his capability claiming that he is only made for music not politics, Bobi Wine proved to each one of them that he could do it and indeed he did it with the overwhelming range of votes as he beat his rivals on Thursday the 29th of June in a hotly contested race for Member of Parliament.
He was sworn in a while ago and he officially began serving his Kyadondo East constituency residents on Wednesday the 19th of July. So far so good for him as it looks like he is on a good track trying to bring a difference with the pledges he made during his campaigns.
Today afternoon together with his entourage, honourable Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine carried a general cleaning exercise (locally known as Bulungi Bwansi) in Gayaza town where they did different things from sweeping the streets, unblocking blocked trenches and also urging the residents to clean the places they stay in.
“As is our norm in Kyadondo East, this month’s General cleaning (Bulungi bwansi) went to Gayaza town. Thursday morning found us promoting good hygiene in our community. We interacted on issues affecting us all in general.”
The musician turned politician was joined by some of the residents with whom they cleaned the entire place.

Noticed & condemned with great concern the untidy env't esp around Rolex stalls! If we must enjoy our community, then we must keep it clean! pic.twitter.com/bEcuw9jjCc
