The exciting Nyege Nyege 2019 edition came to an end on Sunday after a blissful 4-day action-packed partying with many visibly exhausted revelers still yearning for more of the marrying making at the Nile Discovery Beach in Jinja.
However, all good things even come to end but the music, arts and culture festival which has now become arguably Africa’s biggest continues to leave an impressive legacy with revelers and tourists pouring at the source of the Nile in Njeru from as far as Russia and America.
As has always been the case with the previous editions, the 5th edition too attracted mammoth crowds for the 4 days duration with over 300 entertainers from across the globe keeping the place lively.
Main sponsors Uganda Breweries under their flagship brands Bell Larger and Uganda Waragi led by example as they set up superb villages dubbed the ‘Bell Experience Village’ and the ‘UG Love Resort’ respectively that had their own activities going on. Activities ranging from board games to Karake kept the revelers engaged.
With the main stage kept busy with live performances, other stages like the Dark stage and Raggae state too had their own vibe with singing and dancing the order of the day. All sorts of fancy festival fashion were on display as well as weird dance strokes.
We were there on ground and have assembled some of the best shots from the festival for you see for yourself.
