Friday the 17th of January finally came pass and singer Spice Diana made history as the first female local artiste whose concert sponsored by Club, Bukedde and Africell filled the Namasuba, Kampala based Freedom City Mall Auditorium to capacity.
To the surprise of the organisers, as early as 4 PM, a big crowd of excited fans had already thronged the venue ready to watch what Spice and other headlined local artistes had to offer.
After thrilling performances from local artistes and live Dj mixes, at few minutes past 9 PM, Spice finally took to stage, clad in all white. She was in company of a group of dancers with whom they first entertained the revellers with some eye catching dance moves before she later held the microphone to sing.
She kicked off her live performance singing ‘Bagikoona’, ‘Onsanuula’, ‘Anti Kale’, ‘Kyuma’ and ‘32’ before taking a break. During the break, more artistes kept the fans’ vibe lit like Grenade, Pallaso, Feffe Bussi and Chozen Blood.
She returned with full energy for the second round and performed ‘Nabino’, ‘Bwebityo’, ‘Emmala’ with Omulangila Ssuna, ‘Ex’, ‘Now’ with Daddy Andre and took then another break that saw more performances from Levixone, Lydia Jazmine, Winnie Nwagi among others
Spice maintained her energy and vocal ability even up to the 3rd and final round where she performed ‘Best Friend’, ‘Ndimu Love’, ‘Mood’, ‘Jangu Ondabe’ alongside Tanzania’s Roza Ree, and finalised with ‘Omusheeshe’ alongside Ray G. It was a fun filled gig where hundreds of revellers were excited from the start to end
Spice Diana’s recent concert have been having a good crowd but the crowd for this one in particular was noticeably overwhelming although there was some drama like the crowd pelting singer Big Eye with, Gravity Omutujju falling on stage while dancing with one of the female dancers and wannabe socialite Sheik Umar being bounced off stage
