Saturday 23rd January was a very memorable date for many youngsters who took part in this years’ Kadanke ‘Youth Dance for Jobs’ Grand Finale at Hotel Africana.
The 4th edition of Kadanke festival was aptly themed this time round as the youth were given a chance to shine as they entertained their peers while earning some money at the same time.
The youngsters had gone through rigorous stages of screening before making it to the finale where the crowd made of mostly teenagers in the high school age bracket were the judges. The youngsters took part in very competitive dance, rap, singing and fashion competitions.
However, the dance battle provided the shining moment as it was also the biggest event with the rap battle coming close as the crowd cheered their favourite participants.
SIF K a two-man dance group with the most creative moves, drew wild cheers from the massive crowd and emerged eventual deserved overall winners of the ‘Youth Dance For Jobs’ 2016 dance competition walking away with a 500,000/- in cash. While the tightly contested rap battle had two winners who tied for top spot; Zana Mosh and The Agent.
Several local artistes, DJs, MCs and comedians were also lined up to entertain the youth at the event which started as early as 10AM and ending close to midnight. Check out some of the best shots from the show.
