It was a black and white affair at the official launch of the Jack Daniel’s in Uganda that happened at Square on 3rd street industrial area Friday September 29th 2017.
The glamorous Black and white VIP setting told the whole story as pomp and flair took over the night right from the entrance to the roof top venue where a chequered black and white carpet welcomed the guests as they streamed in for photo opportunities and also got a taste of the Tennessee whiskey which has also been performing well in Uganda.
Besides the bites, the main item on the menu was the Jack Daniel’s whiskey itself which was making the official entry into the ever growing whiskey market in Uganda where others like Johnnie Walker, Jameson, Ciroc and Singleton are also fast making their mark besides the ‘local’ spirits.
Jack Daniel’s is a brand of Tennessee whiskey and the top selling American whiskey in the world which is produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee, by the Jack Daniel Distillery, which has been owned by the Brown-Forman Corporation since 1956. Tennessee Whiskey is classified as straight bourbon authorized to be produced in the state of Tennessee believed also to be distilled by being filtered through charcoal made from sugar maple.
These days an event is not complete without the presence of ‘Slay Queens’ and in this particular one, they were all over the place and luckily for them and the organisers, adhered to the Black and White’ dress code with many dressed to kill. The local celebrities were in plenty too mixing and mingling with singer Allan Toniks, Rapper ‘The Mith and actresses Eleanor Nabwiso and Cleopatra Koheirwe seen holding tightly to their class of the Jack with many preferring the cocktails that were also available in different tastes.
