On 5th June 2017, sad and shocking news broke the internet after one of Jah Live’s music producers Danz Kumapeesa was beaten near to death as he left studio going back home. Information further spread that the thugs who thumped the youngster used crude weapons like dumbbells to hit him had over unknown reasons up to now.
For the past 6 months, Danz has been in Nsambya Hospital battling the nasty injuries he sustained because of the beating until Saturday the 7th of October when he lost his dear life. Condolences messages have since then trended on social media and going by what people were posting, Danz Kumapeesa’s death truly hurt many especially those in the entertainment circles.
Danz body was laid to rest yesterday the 9th of October (Independence Day) in his ancestral village Kabanyoro, Gayaza near Bugema University and the burial was attended by Family, friends and fellow celebrities in the entertainment industry. We learnt that the president Museveni donated Ug Shs 20 million to help the family of Danz and this message was read by Bebe Cool whom the deceased produced his ‘Mbozi Za Malwa’ by song featuring Kenya’s Sauti Sold.
Before his death, the late Danz had produced tunes like ‘Musawo’ and ‘Magic’ by Winnie Nwagi, ‘Nakupenda’ by Fille, Yo Sweet by Rema, ‘Munakampala’ by Ykee Benda among many others. Although there are some misleading rumours claiming the cause of the young producer’s death, as Chano8 we shall not go into the death as we have chosen to just leave them as rumours but we would like to also say that may Danz Kumapeesa’s soul rest in perfect peace.
