President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni may be chief dancer at the Konshens and Busy Signal concert if all goes to plan. The organizers of the highly anticipated concert are making arrangements for the President who also doubles as a rap artiste to grace the occasion come Friday August 28th.
“We have sent an invitation for the big man himself His Excellency to be the chief dancer for the concert and are waiting for a response” Balaam who is one of the organizers said.
The concert dubbed ‘Dance with the Stars’ expected to be the biggest event of the year, is sponsored by Pepsi and organised by Promoter Balaam Baraguhara and BK of BK Afro-beat Promotions alongside Vibe production who will do the sound and stage productions.
At a media briefing held today morning at Kampala Sheraton Hotel to unveil Busy Signal real names Glenadale Goshia Gordon, Mr Jeff Ssekandi the Customer Marketing Manager Crown Beverages Limited (CB) the manufacturers of Pepsi, said the brand is proud to be associated with Konshens and Busy Signal who are also official Pepsi brand ambassadors in Jamaica and that bringing the two stars rhymes with their ‘Live for now’ campaign. He clarified that this will not be a battle between the two, but rather a huge performance from the stars.
Balaam promised a tight security at the venue and warned those who would wish to access the venue without tickets not to even attempt as they will be embarrassed. Tickets for the concert are already on sale in Various Supermarkets in Kampala at 30,000/- for ordinary and 75,000/ for VIP. Those who would like to sit on special tables will part with 150,000/- each.
Busy Signal who jetted in the country yesterday afternoon promised ‘A Billion percent entertainment’ for the fans and asked Ugandans to turn in big numbers as they will be giving their all in terms of performances. He will be residing at Kampala Sheraton Hotel for all the days he is in the country.
“I am glad to be back in Uganda for the second time. This is my second home and I feel comfortable here. I will give a billion percent (performance)” He said in Jamaican patois at the press conference.
Busy Signal also confirmed to www.chano8.com in an exclusive interview that he is definitely going to work with some local stars on collaborations and Alexander Bagonza aka APass is one of those who is likely to be among.
Konshens is expected in the country tomorrow Thursday 27th August in the Evening and will be joined by local stars like Apass who was at the airport to receive Busy Signal yesterday.
