Andrew Bajjo, an events promoter who was slapped by Hon Kato Lubwama live on air last Friday during the Koona programme on Spark TV is back in the news. His words were what got him slapped and just a few days ago, he said something that might see him leave Uganda and never return again.
Every year, Bebe Cool holds his annual Tondeka Ekiwatule and so does Bobi Wine at Busabaala but what was different this time round is that Bobi’s concert was cancelled while Bebe’s happened.
Prior to all this, Bajjo through his Facebook had vowed that if Bebe Cool gets people, he will together with Abitex, another promoter leave Uganda and the music industry and never return
“Nze bampita bajjo events ndi ne mukama wange abtex bebecool bwafuna abantu tusazeewo tuve mugwanga ne mu music industry ngenda kumanya bana uganda muli bankwe nyo!!! Tubalekedde industry yamwe”
This can be loosely translated as “I am called Bajjo Events and I am with my boss Abtex. If Bebe Cool gets a big crowd at his event, we shall know that Ugandans are hypocrites. We will vacate Uganda and leave your music industry for you”
On Wednesday the 26th of December, Bebe Cool got a mammoth crowd for concert and since then, neither Bajjo nor Abitex has come out to say thing about their oath. They must be overwhelmed and can’t find any means of taking back their words
