Undoubtedly, singer and vocalist Moses Radio is by far one of Uganda’s top songwriters who has who has through the years proved his worth when it comes to that talent and recently, he proved he is indeed a serious song writer if the ‘Kasubo Jane’ tune off the Reggae Riddim dubbed ‘Kintu’ that was dropped by legendary producer Washington is something we should go by.
‘Kasuubo Jane’ which is Radio’s mother’s name is a song which he dedicated to his beloved mother just like how any other person would dedicated something nice to their mother.
About the song
He introduces the song praising the mother saying how she was the smartest girl at school thus teaching him all the ways of being smart, clean and cooperating with others.
He refers to her mother as his number one woman in the world who brought him to this world, giving him one of the most important things for free (LIFE). He also boasts of how he took on the mother’s features like the good nose, eyes, ears and the vocals he uses to sing, which is a natural bond that will never fade away.
Just like how we all know the love mothers have and the things they do for us while young and even old (sorry to those who lost their mothers), Radio cannot say thank you to all the things his mother did for him.
Radio emphasizes that it the mother’s dedication song and lyrics like ‘mama kano kako dear, maama zinamu dear’ clearly justify that this was his heartfelt message for his mother.
According to the story line, the song does not only tell how Radio’s mother brought him up but also the general story of how our mothers also brought us up and the challenges they faced. Big ups to Washington the producer who gave the rhythm (Riddim) a real Reggae touch and baseline.
