With just a month and a few days left to the Kampala Love Live Music concert slated for Friday the 17th of June featuring Jamaican Reggae artiste Chronixx of the ‘Here Comes Trouble’ song fame, hype around the show is already building the Ugandan reggae lovers.
In an online video Chronixx shared recently, this is what he had to say. “Original Chronixx invites you all to join I an I and the Zinc Fence Redemption live in Uganda for the first time on June 17th of June. Kampala be there, this is the Soul Africa Circle Tour 2016 you know”. He said.
Come the 17th of June, all roads lead to Ndere Cultural Centre located in Ntinda where all the action will take place as the Jamaican born Reggae guru takes his Ugandan fans on an entertainment journey performing those classic tunes that are topping the reggae chats like ‘Here Comes Trouble’, ‘Judgment’, ‘Capture Land’ among many others alongside our local artistes to be confirmed by the organisers.
Chronixx, born Jamar Rolando McNaughton Jr 23, has a strong musical background especially basing on the fact that his Father Chronicle is also a veteran reggae artiste. His visit to Uganda is one of the few he will make in his Soul Africa Circle Tour that will begin on 17th of June with Uganda, Kenya on the 18th, Ethiopia on the 19th and finally in South Africa on the 25th and 26th in Johannesburg and Cape Town cities respectively.
Africa’s Reggae legend Lucky Dube came to Uganda on several occasions and mesmerised Ugandans with his energetic performances in 2003 at the Nile Hotel and Nakivubo Stadium. Hopefully Chronixx can emulate him with a performance to remember come 17th of June.
