Rema Namakula made history by filling Kampala Serena Hotel to capacity last Friday evening. She became the first female artiste to do so at a venue that humbled some big musicians.
She had a sold out concert dubbed ‘Banyabo’ that she didn’t even expect and because of this, the musician didn’t only stop at thanking her fans on stage but went ahead to do so on social media.
“Thank you Allah…thank you ladies and gentlemen for making last night epic for me.. you are wonderful..you are amazing..i can’t thank you enough…History was made at Serena…i would love to thank everyone that believed in me,” part of her appreciation message reads.
She went ahead and thanked individuals like Steve Jean, the CEO of Fenon records, KT promotions, for believing in her, her stylist Fatumahasha, Dyna Vence and glitzbynalu, her sponsors including SMSONE as well as musicians Chris Evans, Ykee Benda, Mariam Ndagire and lastly Eddy Kenzo for supporting her.
Last year, she was supposed to hold a concert but Hotel Africana where she had booked was stopped from organising outdoor events. The concert was cancelled, leaving the fans disappointed and cursing but Rema remained patient especially after her manager promised to take her 2018 concert to Serena.
