Ruparelia Group has emerged as the Best Tourism Investor, at the just concluded ‘Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards’. The innaugral awards, held at Hotel Africana recognised individuals and organizations that have excelled in promoting Ugandan tourism.
The Ruparelia Group, under the stewardship of founding Chairman, Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia has business interests in real estate, accommodation, hospitality, banking and financial services making Sudhir one of the most revered business minds in the country.
The Ekkula Tourism award comes as recognition for investments that directly went into supporting the country’s flourishing tourism industry. The Ruparelia Group owns a number of hotels, resorts and entertainment centers. In his capacity as Chief Guest at the award ceremony, the Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga, commended the investors of the tourism sector for their continued role in creating jobs. He appealed to stakeholders in the sector to promote domestic tourism.
