When comedian Salvado posted the first ever artwork announcing his new weekly comedy show dubbed ‘Just Comedy’ which will be taking place at Kingdom Kampala every Wednesday, critics spread rumours that he had bowed down to pressure due to the success of fellow comedian Alex Muhangi’s ‘Comedy Store’ show
It was alleged that Salvado came up with the ‘Just Comedy’ idea to compete with ‘Comedy Store’ but on the contrary it is not the case because he is targeting a way different crowd
On Tuesday afternoon, Salvado alongside fellow comedians Emma Napoleone and Ronnie McVex whom he is partnering with on this, officially launched the show which is slated to kick on Wednesday the 31st of July.
The launch which was attended by journalists from different media houses painted a picture on what to expect and one of the things is 100% clean comedy which can be comfortably consumed by all audiences
According Emma Napoleone, ‘Just Comedy’ shows will be family friendly which is one of the ways they intend to use as comedians to curb down vulgarity in the comedy industry.
“People have been saying that we have come as completion for other comedy shows but the truth of the matter is, the cake is too big and not even one person can finish it. We are here to provide an alternative to the different class of people. Even the target audience is different” Salvado said at the launch
As the fans wait for the red carpet show which is just hours away, Salvado promised an amazing set up and a mind blowing experience accompanied with quality that has been well thought of and has been longtime coming
