Singer Myco Chris Gears Up For Charity Concert To ‘Give A Hand’ To Less Privileged Children

Myco Chris is son to one of former Afrigo Band’s member Frank Mbalire who is famous for his ‘Sirikusuula’ hit. On another day, this would be a great thing having a father in that caliber but for Myco Chris, it was rather unfortunate.

The musician revealed recently that his father abandoned him when he was only three months old after  separating with his mother.

“I was abandoned at just three months by my father. That is the worst experience a child could ever go through. Although he later accepted me at 14 years, the damage was already caused,” said Myco Chris.

From that experience, his mother was also not financially stable to look after him but it was God’s intervention that he was able to finish school. “Because I was a bright kid, I managed to finish school. I was always among the top three students and always on bursary, that is how I managed,” he added.

With this background, he promised that if an opportunity comes and he is able to help, he will do everything he can to see that unfortunate children don’t face what he went through. That is why he came up with the KAINOS Foundation that is taking care of 16 children so far.

On August 2nd, the artiste who featured in ‘Zino Ennaku’ alongside Weasel and the late Radio, Kuklee and OJ will be having a charity concert at Kampala Serena club in an effort to give back to the community.

The concert slated for Friday the 2nd of August at Kampala Serena Hotel is dubbed ‘Give A Hand’ and the trans-evening music experience is expected to feature high profile eminent personalities and fellow musicians with proceeds going to a charity of the fan’s choice and KAINOS Foundation.
