At this point in time, we are not sure whether celebrity couple Eddy Kenzo and Rema Namakula are in a publicity stunt to promote their new songs titled ‘Don’t Care’ and ‘Sili Muyembe’ respectively or they are actually on the verge of breaking up.
After Rema released a controversial song dubbed ‘Sili Muyembe’ a few days ago, many people have been adding some dots together and it has therefore emerged that the song is directed to her baby father Eddy Kenzo. According to the message in the song, Rema is disappointed with Kenzo who up to now has refused to wed her not even having a traditional marriage ceremony.
As if the song wasn’t enough, Rema took to her Facebook page where she posted a statement that sparked off more talks; “Own it…live it..#SILIMUYEMBE Mwenna abatali miyembe mbatumidde” loosely translated as ‘I send my greeting to those who are not mangoes’ is what she posted to add fuel to the already raging fire
This didn’t go down well with Eddy Kenzo who also took to his Facebook page to respond and posted saying he doesn’t care’. “Dont care” read Eddy Kenzo’s brief post on Facebook.
It has been claimed by a UK-based Ugandan Facebook blogger known as Rita Kaggwa that, Kenzo has been cheating on Rema . Ritah claims that Kenzo has another woman in the US and this is believed to have triggered Rema to release the song.
Leaving that aside, in a recent interview, Rema claimed that she doesn’t care about what Kenzo does or says in his public appearances because she has also moved on.
