Women’ day is celebrated worldwide and the entertainment celebrations in Uganda happened at Kyadondo rugby grounds for the 3rd edition of the women’s deejay event which happened on Tuesday.
The event had deejays like Mary Jo who was the host, Xzyl, Rachael, Sheilah Ats, Lolah, Pofia, Kathy and each played mixes for 45 minutes during their sessions but Mary Jo only played for fifteen minutes and later the event got done because it had exceeded midnight, yet Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) only allows events to have happened before that time.
Every Deejay came with a different strategy of exciting the fair crowd that attended. Some played old school jams, some concentrated on a mixture of Jamaican and Nigerian hits and others just played whatever they felt comfortable with.
The deejay line up was cool, the set up was on point and the crowd loved every bit of the performances. However, the publicity was so bad in that some of the people who attended had just gone to the venue to do their own stuff, only getting to know that there was an event of such magnitude after noticing the stage and asking around
