Like earlier said in the news that the Airtel and Federation of Ugandan Football Association (FUFA) awards will be taking place on Friday the 11th of December 2015, they have been pushed to Sunday the 19th. However, this will affect the set up of the event and neither will it affect the voting nor change the venue Speak Resort Hotel Munyonyo.
“The earlier date of 11th December 2015 was changed to allow clubs and Uganda Premier League Secretariat have smooth operations of the league engagements allocated for that day’ said FUFA Spokesperson Ahmed Hussein who confirmed the development.
We have invited 300 guests for the football night to witness the crowning of the best in Ugandan football. The function will start at 5pm”. The FUFA Spokesperson Ahmed Hussein said.
Talking about crowning the best in Ugandan football, over the years, world and Ugandan footballers have been idolized. Despite the fact that they have been, this has not stopped them from making themselves names and also ably representing Uganda in the various competitions they participate in.
For that matter, Airtel and FUFA have partnered and organized a big event dubbed ‘Airtel-FUFA Awards’ where our proud male and female footballers, referees and coaches will be awarded through the 11 categories they are categorized in.
Voting is ongoing for the ‘Male Player of the year’, ‘Female player of the year’, ‘Fans’ player of the year’ and ‘Fans’ ‘favourite player in European leagues’ categories.
All fans need to do to vote their best male footballer is, send SMS by typing “FUFA 10 Send to 8888” for Farouk Miya, “FUFA 20 Send to 8888” for Keziron Kizito and “FUFA 30 Send to 8888” for Yasser Mugerwa.
