It was a great breakfast meeting characterised by sharing of vast business opportunities in the pearl of Africa mainly provided by the fact Uganda is naturally blessed by nature as one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
Majority of the panelists agreed that, however much Uganda may be a third world country, there are lots of untapped business opportunites that people are sitting on with some even preferring to invest abroad.
The breakfast meeting organised by and tear getting mainly Ugandans leaving and working abroad had business minds dicussing investment opportunities in tourism, education, infrastructure, technology, Agriculture, Oil exploration and refinery as well as manufacturing among others.
Former Uganda Investment Authority boss Dr. Maggie Kogozi who is the Patron of Uganda Diaspora Association also moderator in the meeting held yesterday at Kampala Serena’s Katonga hall urged the Diaspora community to invest wisely especially back home where the opportunities await them.
Companies like MTN Uganda, Diamond Trust Bank, Pepsi and JOMAYI Property consultants whose representatives were part of the panelists, discussed partnership proposals and also presented some of their new products and servises on the market targeting the Diaspora community.
Mr Ronnie Mayanja the Founder and Coordinator Ugandan Diaspora Network while giving his closing remarks, thanked those companies who partnered and showcased at the meeting while calling others to follow suit.
There will be a mega dinner at the Diaspora main gala slated for today at Kampala Serna Hotel where some individuals and companies will be awarded with some key note speakers sharing more on the opportunities across the globe.
Entertainment will be provided by legendary Afrigo Band, Hip-hop star Navio,singer Sandra Suubi as well as comedian Mendo ‘Museveni’ also known as Teacher Mpamire among others. Tickets go for 120k with an after-party at Kampala’s premium club Guvnor.
