Following our story that Bobi Wine allegedly had a debt of Ug Shs 54 million that he owed Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) since 2008
The tax collecting company has come out and refuted the allegations saying that the document from which the information that Bobi owes URA that amount money is fake, according to the URA manager for public and corporate affairs, Ian Rumanyika.
“That document is not valid. First of all, it has no date or signature indicating who issued it,” said Rumanyika.
The Kyadondo East Member of Parliament has not yet responded to the document as he is still busy in Tanzania and none of his aides have said a thing either.
According to the document, Bobi Wine was meant to pay the said money within seven days without fail or else go to jail.
The said arrears accumulated since 2008 after he allegedly defaulted on payments on his Magere house, One Love Beach at Busabaala, Ssemakokiro Building in Kamwokya and two-speed boats.
