With just days left for the Kampala Capital City Authority charity concert at Kololo Independence grounds where Tanzanian music icon Diamond Platinumz is slated to perform, many Ugandan artistes are not pleased with this move.
They believe they can do much more than what Diamond can do and think this move is meant to demoralize them by the governing body. Among those is dancehall musician Vampino.
Instead of coming out straight to explain his dissatisfaction, the ‘Kwekunyakunya’ musician decided to throw jibes at Diamond by claiming that he’s just released collaboration with Jamaican legendary group Morgan Heritage is quack.
“Just heard Morgan heritage and diamond platinum did a song..frankly as an artist who understands music it doesn’t add up, make sense meehn…truth should be forced in to pipos heads ..Let me laugh hahahahaha mulimba.” He first posted.
But after listening to the song a day after, Maurice Kirya’s brother had a change of heart and released this statement on his social media.
“I apologise for the first post about diamond and Morgan heritage it’s just that it couldn’t add in my mind how diamond style would fit in these legends of mine. But thank u diamond, u have proven me wrong and soo talented that u switched to a very different style respek.. bravo..actually among all collaboz dis one u shut it down good kumbe u have a reggea touchish in.”
