Solome is a new kid on the music scene or rather more of a rising star because she has been in the music industry for long yet most of her work has been done underground.
After a journey that started a while back while growing up in Makerere, Solome moved into band music and also backed up some established artists like Maurice Kirya in their projects. Now she feels she is ready to face the world on her own as a solo artist.
In an interview with Chano8 the artiste defined herself as a musician who is just coming out as a solo artist in this business. ‘I am here to be used as a vessel to change lives through the gift of music,’ she said.
Solome also talked about her background and youthful days saying,
‘Well from the beginning I am born to a professor and artist, the last of 5 children totally pampered, kinda spoilt but all in a good way. I was raised in a well-structured family residing in Makerere, actually spent all my childhood in Makerere.’
‘I went to Kintante Primary School, Gayaza High school, Makerere College then Makerere University for my degree in computer science.’
Her musical journey started during her spell at Gayaza High school where she joined the choir. To know more about Solome check out the current Chano8 issue here.
