The ‘African Music Industry Awards’ (AMIA) are fresh on the Ugandan entertainment scene with one edition so far but unfortunately as the fans, fashion lovers, nominees and well wishers were gearing to storm Kampala Serena Hotel for the awards’ 2nd edition, the event has been postponed.

The continental awards which were set to happen for the first time in Uganda on their 2nd edition on Saturday the 24th of March were expected to award Africa’s best in music and also celebrate fashion as some of the best designers were expected to showcase.

Due to some uncontrollable last minute circumstances, they will not happen this Saturday the 24th but will happen next week on Saturday the 31st of March.

“On behalf of AMI AWARDS INC. FOUNDER, Mr. Esaie SCHNAPS, and of the Organizing Committee, It is our interest that all nominees receive the marquis treatment that they deserve as we aim to make your experience with us count as you come together in your numbers from all corners of the world. We are doing our utmost in that regards. We hereby inform you that AMI AWARDS Organizing Committee has opted to postpone our Prestigious Award Ceremony “AMI AFRIKA PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2K18 from March 24th to March 31st due to some last-minute circumstances beyond our control.
