With all the rage Ugandans had for WizKid for not turning up when he was expected, one simple tweet brought a smile to many on last Sunday morning.
The Nigerian super star earlier today breathed some life into Ugandans by tweeting that he will be performing in Uganda sometime this year and not only that but he will have not one but two free shows in the Pearl of Africa.
“I’m doing free shows in Uganda this year! 2days free to make up for last time” the tweet said from his official twitter handle.

WizKid was supposed to perform in Uganda last December but due to unexplained reasons, he ended up not coming. And soon after, he said that his doctors had advised him to take a break from performing abroad which left many of his Ugandan fans disappointed.
This however was a blessing in disguise because the multi-award winning artiste had not yet recorded songs like ‘Daddy Yo’, ‘You Don’t Know’ with Justine Skye and ‘Come Close’ with Drake, songs that are hits in Uganda.
The ‘Holla At Your Boy’ artiste is the most sought after artiste in Africa, holding the Artiste Of The Year award at the 2016 MAMAs, Best African Act at the 2016 MOBOs and Best Africa Act at the 2016 MTV EMAs.
If he makes it to Uganda like promised, it will be the second time he will be performing after he did a couple of years ago at a time when Guinness was unveiling its new bottle.
