New World kickboxing federation champion Alex Masiko was given a heroes’ welcome on Sunday at the E.T.M International church. He was mobbed by excited fans on the streets who all wanted a piece of him for selfies. This was after Masiko out classed European Champion Istvan SZÜCS in the WKF sanctioned International K-1 fight on Friday 25th July at the MTN Arena in Lugogo
Masiko who was so excited told fans after the fight that, he had learnt a lot from this fight and is now ready to even fight for more international titles.
“I am very happy after winning this title. I knew he was more experienced and had more techniques than me but i gave him no chance because i went for power which worked well for me. Now i want more fights and more titles. Masiko said after the fight”.
Uganda National female kick boxing Champion Patricia Apolot also managed to defend her title in the same night after out punching and out kicking Jackie Nasimbwa in the 60Kgs Light category. She reined heavy punches and kicks on Nasimbwa who had to be saved by the referee on a technical knockout.
“I have now proved to everyone that i am the national Champion and there is no challenger. It is now time to go for international titles and i want to start with the African title. I know I will win”. Said a confident Apolot who later d got much needed support from Business man Gordon Wavamuno and Captain Juma Seiko
