We wouldn’t be wrong to say that multi-talented singer Ykee Benda is really showing a sense of good work. From the time of songs like ‘Muna Kampala’ to ‘Farmer’ to several tunes that followed after, Benda is on top in his game but of course more hard work is needed.
We all know that Benda has not spent many years on the music scene but the reception he has received so far is something encouraging to him and his management team and that is why he took to social media to express his gratefulness.
Today Sunday the 18th of March also marks exactly two years since he introduced himself to the world through a social media post asking the “fans to receive and support him with open arms so that he could make his dream a reality”. Like he asked, the fans did received and supported him up to where he is now so taking a time to thank them was something he couldn’t ignore.
“Today is 18th March. It’s exactly two years back since I posted that picture introducing myself and my music to my Very few followers…It leaves me speechless how you all embraced me and my craft JUST THE WAY IAM!…The fan base has immensely grown…the media has done nothing but accept me the hits have kept coming…but most importantly IAM STIL THE SAME GUY..only without hair😀…..I have stayed true to my virtues and beliefs dint let this whole fame Change who I am and set out to be….GOD HAS BEEN FAITHFUL….In conclusion I just wanted to say this…..THANK YOU” Ykee Wrote
On the other side, it should be noted that Ykee Benda recorded his first ever song when he was still in his senior six vacation in the year 2010. He later put a halt on music for further education and resumed in 2015
“I recorded my first song in 2010 at some small studio in Kireka called ‘Do It Again’, It’s on social media but it was a song I did with Alvin Keys when were still a duo in my S.6 Vacation, I stopped along the way when I got a Scholarship and went to Algeria for my University where I did four years in Chemical Engineering” Ykee Benda told Chano8 in an earlier interview.
In his thank you message to fans, Benda has more reason to be super grateful because he has released successful songs like ‘Farmer’, ‘Malaika’, ‘Super Man’, ‘Byonkola’ and his latest ‘Kyenkyebula’ as well as holding a sold out ‘Kireka Boy album listeners party last year.
