It was a Sunday well spent at the Uganda Museum ground located in Kitante- Kampala. ‘Muchomo’ meaning roasted meat was the main activity alongside others like music performances, live band and comedy from Salvado Idringi who was at the same time the host. Basing on the fact that it was a meat roasting festival, no one went hungry and neither did any one go thirsty, Pepsi sodas were on sale and to even those who drink, liquor was available too.
Kids were not left out, bouncing Castles and other kids’ games were available. Top notch celebrities like Anne Kansiime, Gaetano Kaggwa and miss Uganda Zahara Nakiyaga were among the guests who came through for the festival.
Salvado opened the proceedings at 6:20 Pm with performances from some upcoming artistes like Mia Mia. Gospel artiste Levixone who was one of the main performers took the stage at 7:19 pm performing songs like ‘Ina Di Jungle’, ‘Samanya’, ‘God Is Good’ featuring Ray Signature and finally crowd favourite ‘Shuga’ which he performed with Salvado as the backup . As he pulled off his performance, Dj Slick Stuart was on the turn tables doing his thing.
Davis Ntare and The Band took the stage next and they took the revelers on an entertainment journey miming songs like ‘Ashawo’ by Nigeria’s’ Flavour, ‘Waiting In Vain’ by Bob ,Marley . Although Salvado was the host, it didn’t stop him from cracking jokes like saying hi to women who came on motor cycles and thought the loaded men were going to drive them back home. Dj Roja took the stage last and played the best of the music till late.
