Zambian Gospel Singer Pompi In Uganda Ahead Of The Lock Down Concert

Friday the 30th of June is going to be a very busy day basing on a fact that three big events that are set to take place, one of them being ‘The Lock Down Concert’ organised by SMS ONE and Mavuno Church Kampala. This concert will feature Zimbabwean and African music legend Oliver Mtukudzi and two other gospel artistes namely Pompi from Zambia and Kanjii Mbugua from neighbouring Kenya.

Well, today morning at a few minutes after 3 AM, Pompi together with his entourage arrived in Uganda aboard Ethiopian Airlines ahead of this highly anticipated concert that is just 2 days away. The gospel artiste was warmly welcomed by SMS ONE’s Finance and operations manager Mrs Elizabeth Mushabe.

“I am always excited to come to Uganda” Pompi briefly told Chano8 after his arrival and a lot is expected of his performance come Friday at Imperial Royal Hotel located in Nakasero.

Pompi is known for songs like ‘Giant Killer’, ‘Ngoma Zilile’, ‘Simpulified’ among many others has performed in Uganda before and he is known for an energetic showcase when he is performing and indeed let’s brace ourselves and see what he got in stock for his Ugandan fans this time round.

On the other hand, this concert’s entry fee is only Ug Shs 75,000 at the entrance or 50,000 for advance tickets and 3,000,000 for corporate tables. The concert is proudly sponsored by NBS TV and AJ Music and tickets can be bought from SMS ONE offices located in Kololo Lower Terrace.
