The African Queen No 1 Distributors company today joined the rest of Ugandans who heeded to the President’s call to help donate cars, food and cash to the national task force to help in the fight against Coronavirus.
The company today donated 18 Tons of maize flour as relief aid to the vulnerable Ugandans who have been hit most by the effects of lockdown which was introduced as a measure to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a letter written to minister Mary Karooro Okurut who is in charge of collecting the donations in the Office of the Prime Minister, Mr Innocent Tibayeita the Managing Director of African Queen said the company’s partners in Kenya helped in contributing by he maize flour. The minister while receiving the donations thanked African Queen for the gesture and urged others to emulate them as the disease is still on.
