Despite the fact that she lost out on becoming the Miss Uganda beauty pageant, Aisha Nabukeera has proved to be a benevolent person.
The beauty contestant some time back built her family a house in Rubaga using the money that was meant for her scar treatment.
Aisha was slated to travel to abroad for further treatment on her scars, but decided that the money people collected should be used to construct a house for her family.
In her own words, she said “There is nothing more important than seeing your family members happy and in a better life. I want what’s best for them so I decided the money for my scars treatment should be diverted to building them a house. The scars are not hurting and I think it would be wastage of money to get treatment for them.”
Aisha Nabuukera was burnt by her stepmother in 2010 and her story attracted headlines from different media houses until Frank Gashumba came to her rescue. The Sisimuka proprietor took it upon himself and gathered finances, which helped in her treatment. He has been her adopted daughter since then.
