Fallen star AK47 recently went to be with the lord under mysterious circumstances. He was buried at his ancestral grounds in Mityana by hundreds of mourners and fans on March 19 2015.
AK47 real Names Emmanuel H. Mayanja died in a bath tub at Dijavu Bar in Kansanga a Kampala suburb. But to date, the real cause and circumstances surrounding his death remain a mystery as investigations continue with varying accounts emerging to explain how he and why he died.
However, his widow Maggie Kaweesi has for the first time opened up to the public about her late husband in an exclusive interview with www.chano8.com
Maggie who described her late husband and father of their 3 children as God-fearing contrary to media reports claiming he lived a reckless life, also says he was caring and loving to the family.
“My AK was a caring man who loved his children and took care of the family as a responsible father he used to even come home to bathe the children and change diapers. We will always miss your jokes Akay.” Maggie said before breaking down.
“He was a good person and respected elders and everybody regardless of their background.” Maggie added after regaining some strength.
Maggie’s piecing words come after a section of the media run a series of stories claiming the fallen dance-hall star was involved in many dirty activities and a questionable lifestyle with his colleagues at Team No Sleep where he belonged.
However, the young and visibly heart-broken lady who was accompanied by her close relatives to meet the Chano8 and SMS ONE team, shared a brief story of the legacy the talented star left behind. The team had paid her a courtesy call at Nanjing Restaurant in Kololo to console her and give her some words of encouragement as well as hand over some gifts for the children.
Maggie who confessed to knowing little about AK47’s music career however admits the ‘Champion’ singer was hardworking and spent most of his time in the studio making beats, listening to music and watching videos from international stars. She says he wanted to emulate big brother Jose Chameleone and become top of the music industry in East Africa.
Her sentiments were echoed by his closest brother Pallaso who was incosolable during the troublesome funeral period. “I miss my brother, he was so sweet and hardworking” a teary pallaso said.
Police is still investigating the whole events that eventually led to AK47’s death with a one Mumbere the missing link after disappearing from the public since the night the tragic incidence happened. Mumbere a cleaner cum bouncer at Dejavu bar is believed to be having clues and information leads concerning the whole saga as he was the one at the scene of crime.
