Yesterday, Serena Hotel was on fire again as music diva Lillian Mbabazi successfully put up her long time awaited concert the ‘Up Close And Personal’. As early as 7:47 pm, Lilian Mbabazi fans men and women smartly dressed in their best attire, ladies of course looking nice in their stylish outfits were already crowded at the entrance of Victoria Ball Room which was the concert’ venue.
Entertainment was going on smoothly from the Sundowners band which had a lot of band skills they displayed throughout the concert. At exactly 9:00 pm, the beautiful Lillian took the stage with a warm welcome from the crowd that had been waiting for her. She began by thanking everyone who came for her first ever solo concert. She then sparked off the magical moment the crowd was waiting for, performing her hit tracks like ‘Kuuma Obudde’ and ‘Yegwe Weka’ which cheered the fans. Since it was her first solo concert, believe me that she took it down so nicely.
With too much energy and smartly dressed, she performed her hit song ‘Smile’ which she dedicated to her two adorable children and her mother who was present and later introduced members of the Sundowners band and thanked them for their good four years’ cooperation then moved around the VIP section which was full to capacity as she performed her ‘Nsanyuka Naawe’ hit and later introduced Jamaican diva Nyanda of former Brick and Lace who performed her ‘Love Is Wicked’ song.
As if that was not enough, Lillian introduced Uganda’s sizzling hot upcoming dancehall star A Pass with whom they performed their amazing song ‘Memories’ which got the crowd crazy as they all stood up. As she was winding up her concert, the ‘Danger’ hit singer and mother of two called on stage her management team Deuces Entertainment Group and thanked sponsors for making it up to her. The crowd asked her to re perform ‘Memories’ song which she did and also led to the close of the concert at exactly 11:15 pm.
