If a list of top 5 hot fast rising Dancehall artistes is to be made, Mudra cannot miss on it and this is because of his famous tunes that have made it on many local music lovers’ playlists, a thing that has garnered him a growing fan base.
If you don’t know Mudra then you probably must have listened to or heard songs like “Muyaayu” and “Onkosa” which have been given a very good reception by his fans and local music lovers in general.
The “Muyaayu” singer has not only impressed fans with his music and new style but also fellow artistes.
A few minutes after his performance at Club Beats At Home virtual concert organised by Club Pilsener on Saturday the 10th of July, one of Uganda’s biggest Dancehall singers A Pass sent a tweet rating Mudra.
“An Known & Mudra am very impressed. Keep up the amazing vibes”. Read impressed A Pass’ tweet.
This is something big for Mudra to get hailed by an established singer like A Pass who seldom rates local artistes and also sings the same genre like him
According Mudra’s bio he is not only a Dancehall singer, he also sings other genres like Afrobeat, Hip Hop, RnB and Reggae.
The other talent he has is song writing although in a recent interview he said that he stopped writing for other artistes a business but will always do for those he likes personally
The ICT graduate from Makerere University hails from Kawempe, a Kampala city suburb. He recorded his first song in 2015 with Dr Fizol of Avie Records and from that time he has released more songs like “Bar Love”, “Bwotyo”, “Onzinya”, “Kimuli Kyange”, “Muyaayu”. “Onkosa” and his latest “Gwe Amanyi”
He has also collaborated with local artistes like Radio (RIP) and Weasel, Cindy and Karole Kasiita.
