Former NBS Journalist Remmy Bahati who is currently based in the United States of America landed a mega job at the United Nations in USA.
She is the Global Communicator/Outreach at UN headquarters in New York city and this is her second week at work.
She updated her followers on social media about her new journey through a post
“This is my second week of work. Thanks to the UN Secretariat for giving me the wonderful opportunity to write my new chapter in my career, in midst a pandemic.” Reads her post in part
She added saying that she is extremely happy for this job because it is something that she prayed and worked hard for from the time she was still home in Uganda.
“I’m extremely blessed, grateful and happy to contribute to the Global communication work already underway and to contribute to the UN vision of improving lives and transforming communities around the world. I couldn’t be more excited to see where I can go from here.”
She recently graduated with Masters of Science in Journalism from Columbia University in the city of New York.
While studying, she worked as a TV news correspondent for various media houses in Africa and NBS TV inclusive and one of the journalists that fed Ugandans with the US elections of 2020.
She also contributed stories to Columbia news service, New York Times, TRT world and Kenya based Citizen TV among others.
Before leaving Uganda to pursue her Master’s degree, she worked with NBS Television as a political reporter attached to the Ugandan parliament and made her mark as one of the best reporters in this field.
