Singer Angella Katatumba has landed yet another big accolade and recognition in her music career after the Uganda Bikers association joined her Mulaga Yaffe campaign under the Angella Katatumba Development Foundation (AKDF) and also appointed her their honorary Ambassador.
The talented RnB singer and philanthropist who has been involved in many charity drives and community-based initiatives besides her hospitality and singing careers has also recently been in the news after being invited by The United Nations to attend the FIRST ever World Humanitarian Summit.
The “Mulago Yaffe” singer was invited through an enclosed e-mail by the Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian and Emergency Relief Coordinator; Mr Stephen O’Brien invited which is slated for 23rd and 24th May 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Her projects with Mulago Hospital have received massive recognition from the masses and the government who have commended her for her big heart.
The Uganda Bikers association like Angella, are also into charity work was formed in 2003 and have been fundraising for needy people and communities in Uganda over the years like donating 9 million to Mbuya Parish HIV/AIDS Reach Out in 2004, another 55 million to the same outreach program the next year and raised 12 million to the Phaleng IDP camp in Northern Uganda as well as food and other items among others.
They have also recently partnered with the ‘Mulago Yaffe’ campaign to raise 3 Million for the Mulago Cancer institute.
